Repsol Spanish Energy Firm affirms that implementing Blockchain can benefit 400,000 Euros Every Year

Repsol, a Madrid based energy company, successfully tested the blockchain pilot that will ensure to enhance the quality of safety certification of its products. The news was reported on January 15 in Spanish by Cointelegraph.

Repsol a leading Spanish energy company that was incorporated in 1987 manages the operation of oil and gas industry includes operations such as development, exploration, production of natural gas and crude oil. According to the Financial Times report during its first nine month of 2018 the energy company Repsol had estimated its net worth value to 2.7 billion Euros and had seen a significant rise of 37 percent due to the consistency with the Monetary Instances since the commencement of the year.

Finboot Blockchain startup and the Repsol Technology Lab Research [Tech Lab] both of them hold their portion of share in the Repsol Foundation Entrepreneurs Fund. Finboot and Tech Lab together provide blockchain solution to enhance the certification operation of its petrochemical products. The solution will help the company to identify the products, samples and follow them across the overall process of production.

Other than this the use of blockchain will be benefited by Respol which will help the company to save around 400,000 euros every year and also there will be a decrease in the frequency of errors. Tomas M. Malango of Tech lab manager of experimentation has stressed that there is n number of rooms for development and improvement in the company.

A large number of samples are managed in this process, due to mislabeling there are many rework incidents, failures, loss and inappropriate connection of data.

As per Tomas Malango, the effective results of Respol blockchain pilot can be carried to various departments of the organization with proper unique dysfunctions and practices.

The evolution of Blockchain is growing significantly, and the presence is seen inside the power sector in Spain. Iberdrola, the main power company of Spain, initiated the use of blockchain in-order to record renewable energy. Throughout the pilot, the pilot was successful and termed to be a hit. Further Iberdrola the power company closely observed the renewable power that rendered its service to banks to two wind farms and one energy station. The workplaces were located at the southern town of Cordoba and in the Basque Nation.

Another renewable power company ACCIONA Energia in December presented that the company will make use of blockchain to monitor electric energy and the era. With this movement, ACCIONA further intends to allow its purchasers to monitor the provenance of the distribution of electrical energy.
